Zero Tolerance: ZT0160 - 5" Shifter Fixed Blade

It's smaller and lighter than the 0100, yet still built to handle tough duty.

The 0160 fixed-blade features a high-performance Sandvik 14C28N blade with Tungsten DLC non-reflective coating. The 14C28N stainless provides an ideal combination of hardness and corrosion resistance. The steel’s chemistry has been boosted to provide excellent edge performance, high hardness, and good corrosion resistance. The hair-popping sharp edge resists chipping and rolling. Yet, unlike some high-performance steels, re-sharpening is easy. The .156 in. (.4 cm) -thick blade stock provides additional strength and is coated with Tungsten DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon). This hard coating not only makes the blade non-reflective, but also enhances toughness and provides additional shielding from corrosion.

The 0160’s handle scales are machined G-10 for great grip. The handle just locks right into the hand and the forefinger contour enables multiple grip options. The large, pointed pommel is quite aggressive and permits punching. The G-10 itself was chosen for its imperviousness to temperature extremes as well as for its excellent insulating properties. The 0160 comes with a MOLLE compatible sheath with multi-carry options.

We have seen this knife described as “balls-to-the-wall awesome,” and we would have to agree.

    good quality

For the price point, a best buy. Nothing to be affected by the elements and a blade design that will that will handle most duties you can throw at it. A sturdy jack of all trades type of knife that will live in my survival gear stowed in my atv. Will keep my eye on KSF for more deals for sure.

    Great knife -- decent sheath

Posted by Unknown on 29th Oct 2015

I really like this knife -- the blade came scary sharp and I know this steel from several Kershaws I have so I know it will be easy to keep that way. The handle is very comfortable to me, but my son finds it less so -- it may be an individual thing. The blade shape is unusual, but should prove very useful. It has a nice, sharp point, but the modified clip leaves enough girth to make it useful for a variety of tasks. One thing to note -- it is not a lightweight. For it's size, it is a fairly heavy knife. The sheath is sturdy and fits the knife well, with little rattling. However, the retaining strap does seem a bit flimsy compared to the rest of the package, and the clip system does not allow for left-hand carry, which is a bit disappointing to me (since I'm a lefty!). Overall, it's an extremely well-made knife, and probably impossible to beat at this price.

    Awesome Substantial Knife

Posted by Unknown on 21st Oct 2015

So impressed with this awesome knife and its incredibly well made kydex sheath. This knife is more substantial in size and heft in person then in the pictures. So glad I finally bought this knife from Knives Ship Free and for such a good price.
