The Bark River Knives Essential is an EDC-size knife specifically designed to be compact -- a great cutter and comfortable in the hand.

The short blade is stout, with a deep belly, perfect for slicing. The way the blade curves to the point mimics the arc made by the motion of your arm, which helps the Essential perform like a much larger knife. Its CPM M4 tool steel -- widely regarded as a "super steel" for its properties and performance -- means that it'll hold an edge longer than similar knives in other steels.

This knife is a real handful for its size. Stainless-steel bolsters add weight and heft to let you know you have a great cutting tool in your hand. (The Essential also is available without bolsters.)
