At KnivesShipFree, we are thrilled to add another top quality Benchmade knife to our line-up of hunting knives. Made in the USA, the Benchmade Crooked River folding knife captures the American spirit of the great outdoors and the beautiful Crooked River in Oregon for which it is named.
From their factory in Oregon City, Benchmade has produced modern knives all over the spectrum of practical applications, from everyday carry to military to outdoors environments. The backbone of their folding knife line-up is the AXIS lock system, loved for its easy one-handed use and high lock strength. The Crooked River combines this key mechanism with a classic clip point blade shape that hunters know and love. With blade and handle materials that can easily withstand the elements of nature, this is a true folding hunter’s knife.
Style
Available in two styles, one with a stabilized wooden handle and another with a gray G-10, the Crooked River has all the right touches. Combining traditional shape with modern technology, the Crooked River knives break old notions of what a hunting knife could be.
As part of the Hunt Series, Benchmade has designed the Crooked River specifically with sportsmen in mind. It has a profile that feels great in the hand and has plenty of room to grip, providing a tough, ambidextrous hunting knife that will be a joy to use. With its traditional shape, the beautiful piece looks the part and performs perfectly. Benchmade combines its ergonomic form with modern technology to create a beautiful and unique knife of the very highest quality and craftsmanship. It will not let you down.
Features
The Crooked River’s handle curves inward and ends with an aluminum bolster at the front with a large finger groove to easily index your grip. To match the orange G-10 backspacer, the pivot features an anodized orange collar that stands out against the aluminum bolster. The blade itself is made of CPM-S30V stainless steel. It will stay reliably sharp, and thanks to Crucible’s Particle Metallurgy technology, the alloy’s combination of Carbon, Chromium, Vanadium, and Molybdenum are arrange as ideally as possible to create a fine carbide structure. The blade locks open using Benchmade’s AXIS lock mechanism which offers a very satisfying opening and closing that can be done quickly and safely, even with one hand.
The original Crooked River model has a 4” blade and 5.33” handle. It’s a truly capable size that will mimic a fixed blade. Now available in the line-up is the Mini Crooked River, offering similar functionality and tremendous style in a smaller package with a 3.4” blade and 4.5” handle. Each model has a large lanyard hole in the end of the handle so that you can attached your favorite lanyard or fob.
