Bark River Knives: Ghost II Karambit
13th May 2014
We asked Mike Stewart of Bark River Knives about their new Ghost II.
The new Ghost II Karambit was designed for Bark River Knives by Scott Horn of Airborn Knives. Scott is an ex- Ranger and has a lot of input on military and paramilitary use. This is a very popular design of his which he licensed to Bark River.
Bark River bought the design from him.
It has all of the features the Sy-Op Filipino Khali guys really like to use. The angle of the blade is just about perfect for cutting and hooking. The way they are commonly used
People think you put your little finger in the hole. You actually put your first finger in the hole. There are points for impact if being used in hand to hand fighting.
Scott’s design of the Karambit is the most innovative and useable of the ones Mike has seen. The knife is not very big at 6.5” long. It is all blade and very compact. Every part of the knife has been thought out carefully by Scott which is why Bark River wanted Scott on the design team
