Brous Blades - Bionic

Small and lightweight, this great everyday carry knife from Jason Brous features a satin finished, hollow ground D2 Tool Steel blade with an automatic opening function. Solid and smooth, with only the push of a button the Bionic opens to reveal a 3" satin blade from the black anodized aluminum handles. With it's compact size, high utility blade shape, and great looks, it's no surprise that the Bionic is Jason Brous' personal EDC.

    Absolutely fantastic

I'm a knife guy. I love them all, traditionals, fixed blades, folders, pretty much anything with an edge. But I have always seen automatic knives as somewhat "gimmicky" and not all that useful. Most side opening autos also use a plunger or push button lock, which isn't really as strong as say a titanium frame lock. But I digress, this little Bionic auto is something of a paradox. Its very lightweight, has an amazing and unique design, and uses superior materials. (I'm a big D2 fan) The Bionic auto fires hard, on par with ProTech hard. It locks up tight, and closes easily one handed. Jason Brous designs some of the coolest knives out there, and his warranty and customer service are second to none, and he is just a cool guy to boot. So for a 3" D2 bladed auto knife, it weighs NOTHING. I've been using mine since Christmas of 2015, and it easily keeps up with my other "hard use" knives (ZT 0620CF, Benchmade 275BKSND, etc) while being much more pocket friendly. Do yourself a favor, check one out. And get it from Derrick and the great folks at KSF. You'll be glad you did.
