The all-steel handles are your first impression of the knife in your hand, and their rounded bevels ensure that the knife feels totally comfortable in your hand. Even the latch is rounded so it never catches as you flip. The latch is designed with a positive stop so it can't rotate in the path of the blade. At the pivot point of both sides is Kershaw's KVT ball-bearing system that provides an effortless glide to the swinging hardware. The blade itself is 14C28N stainless steel, formulated with increased nitrogen to provide excellent corrosion resistance and hardenability. Kershaw was meticulous in the design of the blade, tapering it to maintain front-end weight that helps it to pendulum around smoothly. The Lucha was designed with input from real-world butterfly users, and it has the sort of quality that will make it hard to put down.
