FAQ: What's G-10?

G-10, sometimes called Garolite, is an industrial laminate similar to Micarta, produced by applying heat and pressure to layers of fiberglass which are impregnated with epoxy or other resin.

G-10 is extraordinarily tough, resists absorbing moisture and is available in various colors and finishes. Generally speaking, G-10 is somewhat lighter than Micarta and, at least in laboratory testing, slightly stronger.
