Mammoth Ivory is a fossilized tusk from an extinct pre-historic animal.  It has been dead for tens of thousands of years.

Due to ignorance, the US Government is strongly considering a total ban on the sale of Mammoth Ivory.  If that ban goes in place, these will become the most sought after knives, but also the most difficult to get.

If you think the idea of banning a FOSSIL is silly, you should let your congressional representatives know.
