In the 1980's, the original Spyderco Endura blazed a trail as one of the first lightweight clip-carry folding knives. Today it remains one of their most popular models and continues to set the standard for all other knives of its breed. Now in its fourth generation, it has also inspired a broad range of variations to meet virtually every user's needs and preferences.
To honor and support our nation's law enforcement officers, Spyderco created the Thin Blue Line series using some of their most popular lightweight models. The scales are black FRN with bi-directional texturing, and beneath them are blue liners and a matching blue FRN backspacer. The handle houses a VG-10 blade in a unique format with both a full-flat grind and partially serrated edge. The blade is adorned with an engraving that reads "To Serve and Protect." A portion of this model's proceeds go to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation which honors the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller on September 11th, 2001 by directly supporting first responders and military personnel who have sacrificed for our country.
