The Spyderco Subvert folding knife is a premium offering designed by Nati Amor - an Israeli goldsmith and custom knifemaker. His “Sabotage” design is the basis for this production model, and Spyderco has done an amazing job as usual taking the hallmarks of the original custom knife and implementing them in a high-end production model, making it more affordable while retaining the key design elements that make it unique. This Sprint Run brings a limited edition trim with CPM-20CV steel and solid carbon fiber scales.

Subvert sprint done right
I had the first subvert (orange S30V). Thought it was a brilliant knife. Incredible action premium materials Taichung quality. Just outstanding in every way except 2. 1. For knife nerds, if you’re gonna make a Black Snow knife it can’t be S30V 2. Orange is just insanely ugly to 90% of us. I dyed the scales, but the orange just clung to it like a skunk smell. Bought it for $300 new, sold it for $475. Real shame. I WILL NOT be selling this one. Carbon fiber is spectacular and I’m not even a carbon fiber guy. 20CV steel and the knife nerd is satisfied. Thanks for having this sprint. It’s awesome. The Stovepipe was overpriced. The Benchmade Narrows is laughable. This is spot on for materials and quality. Yes I have customs, yes I have crazy expensive customs. No this is not mokuti with meteorite shavings and prehistoric walrus molars. But for fit and function it is as fine as ANYTHING out there. Thank you Knivesshipfree for getting it to me before the Fourth of July. You guys are just the cats pajamas. If the cat had a pocket machete in CF and 20CV. Awesome.
