Steelport makes heirloom-quality kitchen knives in Portland, Oregon using one-piece drop-forged 52100 steel with integral bolsters. The blade is fitted with a one-piece handle of Oregon Big Leaf Maple Burl. Steelport's differential heat treating process achieves a remarkable edge hardness of 65HRC supported by a softened 30HRC spine for greater durability.
