Ambush Alpha

Built to serve as a full-sized field knife for as a general camp and outdoor use, the Ambush Alpha features a beefy spear-point blade of Crucible's CPM 3V tool steel -- a very fine-grained powder super steel -- that's differentially heat-treated to give excellent edge retention and incredible toughness.

The blade is flat-ground with a convex edge, giving tremendous cutting and slicing performance as well as durability. This flat-to-convex geometry is perfect for all-around use, and it also allows for easy sharpening in the field. (For those who prefer V-bevel edges the edge can be easily converted, with minimal effort, using stones.)

At the pommel, the tang stands proud of the handle to expose the lanyard hole and provide an impact surface that can be used to strike a firesteel.
