For their 2023 SHOT Show Limited Edition release, Benchmade put a new spin on their hard-working Bailout folder. The blade is CPM-3V tool steel which is tough enough for any adventure, and the handle scales are textured aluminum in orange anodized finish. Cyan hardware gives the design a splash of contrast, and the mini deep carry clip is reversible for right- or left-side carry.

I wanted to give this Special Edition Bailout 5 Stars. But, I just couldn't do it. Not with the regular price being $292 - honestly, that's just absurd. That being said, I was able to get this knife for $149 - KSF had it on sale for $199 & I had $50 in KSF points. At any rate, the main reason I couldn't give it 5 Stars is because of that rectangular glass breaker - it's pretty uncomfortable after a while. Other than that, this is a 5 Star blade at $$225-$250 imho. The blade is very thin 3v after all and not to mention how light and pretty the knife is too. The Axis Lock is the goose that lays the golden egg for Benchmade- its awesome. After I got mine, I sharpened her up. I think she was .15 behind the edge - she slices so very well. My suggestion is to catch this blade on sale. It's a really nice knife.

Superior Bug out.
I have this knife for a long time. Mine is not the Shot Show beauty in orange with aluminum scales. I have the Black FRN scales in 3V. . But it’s an awesome knife. The blade is near indestructible and sharpens back to razor sharp with only stropping. It is incredibly light. And incredible slicer. Like do many before me have stated I only criticism is the rectangle pommel lanyard hole is a bit of a miss. But it’s still overall an excellent knife.,
