The balance point is an inch forward of the first finger which is perfect for a long blade. The extra wide blade bites deeply and will make short work of kindling and cutting down carcasses in camp. The point is slightly clipped down from the spine and the false grind helps thin the point for finer tasks. This knife is a great all around knife for your hunting kit.
