Bark River Knives: Kephart 5" - CPM 4V

The new Bark River 5" Kephart is based on the original 5 inch blade version of this famous knife of the same knife offered by the only firm that ever made a production version of the knife in the early 1900s. Colclesser offered this longer blade version in addition to the standard 4 inch that most of us are familiar with. The Kephart spear point design is the basis for the modern bushcraft knife that has become the world standard in "wilderness living" pattern knives. This 2017 version has been upgrade to Crucible CPM4V super steel for its added toughness and edge holding. The thickness is the same .125" as the original that they offered. With the upgrade in steel choice over the original it will be very solid in the hand. This will prove to be the ultimate re-creation of one of America's original outdoor knives.
