The Sage 5 is a utilitarian EDC featuring Spyderco's Compression Lock, and this model is upgraded with Carpenter's highly specialized Maxamet steel which was formulated for use in their own steel mills. Spyderco rose to the challenge of working it into the production knife process, and the result is a blade of incredible hardness. The knife is built on nested steel liners covered in gray FRN scales with a unique Bi-Directional Texture pattern. You can carry it on the right or left side using the reversible deep-carry wire clip.
